With the completion of the latest expansion to the Heiser Natural Sciences Complex at New College of Florida, students and faculty alike can look forward to a whole new experience this year. Two stories tall and adding 22,000 square feet to the existing 34,000, this third wing brings not only additional classrooms and offices, research labs and teaching labs—each stocked with state-of-the-art equipment—but a consolidation of data sciences and natural sciences that the whole campus can benefit from. “It will bring everybody in the same building and increase the ease of collaboration,” says Biochemistry Professor Katherine Walstrom, chair of the division of natural sciences at New College. “We’re hoping to help even more students be successful than we have already.”
