In honor of the company's 50th anniversary in Osprey, Tervis today held a press event to unveil its new line of insulated bowls, steel water bottles and new designs. At the event, Venice Mayor John Holic declared today Tervis Day in Venice.

Tervis CEO Rogan Donelly said the expansion of the steel line and the company's first foray into non-drinkware with a line of bowls both stemmed from demands within the marketplace. "Our customers have asked for a long time to expand to the entire dinner table," he said.

The Tervis event took place at the company's original Osprey store, which in 1968 also housed all manufacturing space for the Tervis company. Today, all mass production takes place at a larger facility by the interstate but the store remains.

On Saturday, Tervis will hold a special tent event where new products will be available to the public for the first time.

Tervis also has a scavenger hunt going in the Tervis community where 50 golden Tervis tumblers have been hidden in the Sarasota-Venice region. Each cup contains tickets to a tour at the Tervis factory.
