On a Mission to Save Pets

IF THERE’S ANYTHING BETTER THAN A HAPPY PET, IT’S A HEALTHY PET. For many pet owners in the area, the cost of veterinary care often forces them into making difficult decisions and many pets go without basic preventive care. Sadly, many animals have been abandoned at the Humane Society of Sarasota County in the still of the night because what was once a small concern went unchecked and soon their pet required expensive medical care to stay healthy. Recognizing the lack of a low-cost, full service option for veterinary care in our community, the Humane Society of Sarasota County (HSSC) made it their mission to fulfill this need so everyone has access to quality veterinary care, regardless of their income. The Animal Clinic of the Humane Society of Sarasota County opened its doors on February 1st and offers a multitude of services for local canines and felines. Services range from basic preventive care such as vaccines, diagnostic testing and teeth cleaning to advanced surgeries utilizing state-of-the-art equipment - all at an affordable price. The highly trained staff at the Animal Clinic is devoted to providing exceptional care to animals, making sure their medical needs are met at a price their families can afford. Open to the public regardless of income requirements, all proceeds from the Animal Clinic directly benefit the shelter pets at the Humane Society of Sarasota County, furthering the organization’s mission of saving lives.
