Readers can vote on local eats, shopping, arts, luminaries and hotspots culminating in the compendium published in the April 2018 edition of SRQ Magazine. We hope you’ll share your favorite local experiences—from stellar sushi, most memorable on-stage productions to best happy hour.

SB2 Luncheon: Philanthropic Agenda

Join SRQ Magazine for the launch of 2017-2018 SB2: Luncheon Symposium season on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 11:00am-1:00pm at The Francis, Downtown Sarasota. The Philanthropic Agenda luncheon and panel discussion will explore the dynamic and ever changing world of non-profits. What’s trending, who’s innovating, why are donor-advised funds growing so rapidly and what exactly are donors looking for? The luncheon will culminate with presentation of the SRQ Gives Good Innovation in Philanthropy Award honoring community leaders in the nonprofit sector who are contributing to our region’s philanthropic strength with their forward-thinking initiatives and perspectives. Special guest panelists include: John Annis of The Community Foundation of Sarasota County, Carol Butera from the William G. and Marie Selby Foundation, Mark Prichett of the Gulf Coast Community Foundation and Martha Wells of the Southwest Florida Planned Giving Council. SRQ Media's 14th Annual Home of the Year Competition

Calling all builders, architects, designers and landscape companies —the 14th Annual SRQ Home of the Year Competition is officially open! From serene water features to breathtaking bay views and green buildings, SRQ MEDIA is thrilled to produce this prestigious annual architecture and home design program, recognizing truly stunning spaces from Venice all the way to Anna Maria Island. Our panel of qualified judges hail from regions outside the geographic area of the HOTY competition and represent excellence in the areas of architecture and interior design. They will review entries based on innovation, functionality and overall design aesthetic to bestow SRQ’s Home of the Year Platinum, Gold and Silver awards. Local professionals are invited to submit their best work in home design by the Call for Entries deadline of Friday, December 8, 2017. Winners in each category will be featured in the coveted SRQ Home of the Year awards supplement in the March 2018 issue of SRQ Magazine.
