Who is eligible to submit an event?
Organizations hosting an event in the Sarasota area. Museums and other cultural institutions in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area are also qualified to submit events although preference for traveling shows will be placed on the Sarasota venue.
What types of events can I submit?
Cultural happenings such as lectures, museum and gallery exhibits, theatre, music and art performances, annual festivals, food and wine events as well as certain non-recurring business networking and fundraising special events.
What happens after I submit an event?
SRQ will review your event submission for approval. SRQ reserves the right to make revisions to the event copy for space and appropriateness. SRQ reviews events on a daily basis.
When will the event be posted?
SRQ reviews events on a daily basis; however, events posted in advance are given first consideration for space. We recommend that event organizations submit their events 2-3 weeks in advance of the event date. Once approved, the event will become live on the website the next day.
Will the event I am submitting also appear in SRQ’s upcoming issue?
Events submitting to Culture City on SRQMAG.COM are for online consideration only. To submit a community event to appear in SRQ: Sarasota’s Premier Magazine, please email calendar@srqmagazine.com.
Is there a fee for posting an event?
No.
