A Main Street mainstay of Sarasota Vietnamese cuisine, Pho Cali Vietnamese Noodle House has more than its fair share of regulars coming for noodle bowls and its ever-addicting fried rice, but one would be remiss to overlook the appetizers and foolish to wait for their food hungry. Between soups, salads and samplers, its hard to go wrong with an old-fashioned egg roll and Pho Cali’s offering does not disappoint. Combining shredded carrots, onions, bean thread noodles and black mushrooms, the lot is wrapped in fresh wonton paper and fried to a juicy, bubbling crisp. Served as a piping hot pair and sliced in two with a serving of the house dipping sauce, a simple blend of fish sauce and vinegar that gets the most out of both, order a few and make it a meal.
