Let's have a fruitful discussion shall we? (Caution- this article is filled with berry bad fruit puns)

Apparently it takes two to mango, because since being acquired by Amazon, Whole Foods in Downtown Sarasota is creating quite the stir with the launch of a newly revamped juice bar. Repurposing the original fresh-cut flower section, Whole Foods is now a brightly-lit nirvana for blended smoothies and self-serve juices for your grocery shopping pleasure. Maybe all it took was a fresh pear of eyes to see that people wanted to imbibe a nutritional mixture of fruits and veggies just as much as their happy-hour beers.

Pick from wellness elixir shots, cold brew coffee and tea on nitro and fresh-pressed juices on tap—presented as a self-serve station with six flavors (chock full of nutrient-dense ingredients) alongside empty 16 oz. bottles for filling and take-away. There are never added sugars or artificial preservatives in any of their made-to-order beverages. The produce is harvested at the peak of freshness (sourced locally when possible) then cold-pressed at high-pressure to extract the natural flavors and pack in all the raw ingredients for every sip. Ogling the French macaroons on display in the bakery won’t make you feel as guilty with a carrot, kale and ginger liquid lunch in hand.

Now orange you glad we’re finished with all the shameless puns? Don’t be surprised if you find yourself craving a midday Green Awakening smoothie or Royal Roots juice. Take your favorite to go! By the way, the brand new Whole Foods at University Town Center officially opens at 9am on January 31, 2018. See you there!
