WEDNESDAY SEP 26, 2018 |
Florida Studio Theatre (FST) has announced that it will organize and produce a two-year, large-scale community outreach initiative in honor of the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage (to be recognized August 26, 2020). The project’s first year will be dedicated to the cultivation of creative partnerships, development of new works and planning of community events. In the second year, FST, along with its community partners, will roll out a year-round event series, including artistic productions, author readings, workshops, oral history projects, forum discussions and an in-school engagement program—all in celebration of the suffrage centennial. The entire community is invited to be part of this cultural engagement project. FST is looking for partners to help organize and sponsor community events, as well as generate new artistic work. Those interested in getting involved can contact Kate Alexander, Associate Director At-Large at kalexander@floridastudiotheatre.org.
