Community Foundation Names Kennedy Senior VP of Community Investment

Mike Kennedy has been appointed Senior Vice President of Community Investment for the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. Kennedy will assume the role beginning October 4. In this position Kennedy will develop and implement the foundation's overall community investment grant strategy, partnering to ensure the greatest impact is made for the Community Foundation’s donors and initiatives. Kennedy is a proven long-term relationship-builder with more than twenty years’ experience in leadership and business administration in Major League Baseball, local government, community organizations and a local church. Kennedy most recently held the position of Director of Discipleship at Harvest United Methodist Church in Lakewood Ranch. Kennedy directed the Bradenton Downtown Development Authority from 2006 until 2010.
