Williams Named 2018 FLA Teacher of the Year

Pine View School has announced that Freda Williams has been selected as the 2018 Florida Literacy Association (FLA) Teacher of the Year.  Williams will be formally recognized at the 2018 FLA Annual Conference in Orlando on November 4. The FLA is committed to leading the way for reading and literacy gains for students in Florida. The organization is primarily comprised of educators who seek creative and innovate ways to promote reading comprehension, fluency and critical thinking. In addition to the Teacher of the Year award, the association also issues a Children’s Book award and holds a Poster Contest for students.
