RCLA Town Hall Lecture Series Single Tickets Now Available

Arts & Culture

Individual and limited tickets are now available for morning lectures only for the 2019 Ringling College Library Association (RCLA) Town Hall Lecture Series. Morning lecture tickets will be sold online and must be purchased five days prior to the lecture dates. The 39th annual lecture series will showcase international newsmakers and their insights on timely national and global issues.

The series begins on Wednesday, January 16, with a talk by athlete/icon Shaquille O’Neal, followed on February 4 by James Comey, who will speak on his service as director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation from 2013 to 2017. Jimmy Wales, technology visionary and founder of Wikipedia, will speak on February 18, and Caroline Kennedy, an attorney who served as the U.S. Ambassador to Japan, will speak on March 4. During her tenure she helped realize the United States military's return of land on Okinawa to the Japanese government, and President Obama's historic visit to Hiroshima. Wrapping up the 2019 series on Thursday, April 11, Ian Bremmer will discuss global trends and issues. Dubbed the “rising guru” in the field of political risk by The Economist, Bremmer is the president and founder of Eurasia Group, a leading global political risk research and consulting firm.

All five lectures will be presented at Van Wezel Performing Arts Center. Morning lectures begin at 10:30am and the evening talks begin at 7:30pm. For tickets, call 941-309-5100 or visit the website below.
