Buchanan Hires Cruz, Rose as Senior Staffers

Congressman Vern Buchanan has announced the hiring of two new senior staffers in his Washington D.C. office.

Anthony Cruz, a former deputy press secretary for Sen. Marco Rubio, R-FL, will be Buchanan’s new communications director. A New York native and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Cruz most recently was communications director for New York Congressman Dan Donovan. In Rubio’s office, he worked with national and Florida media and assisted with the senator’s Spanish interpretation operation. Ashley M Rose, a former legislative director and counsel for Congressman Carlos Curbelo of Florida, will serve as Senior Policy Counsel. A Miami native and graduate of Florida State University and American University Washington College of Law, Rose lived in Sarasota for a year while she worked as a legal assistant for a local law firm. She will handle healthcare, among other issues, for Buchanan.
