Manatee County Accepting Applications for Oversight Committee

Manatee County is accepting applications for three seats for a citizens advisory committee that makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners on Infrastructure Sales Tax. The committee meets periodically to prepare an annual report to the Board of County Commissioners, which reviews expenditures of the voter-approved half-cent sales tax. To qualify, applicants must live in unincorporated areas of Manatee County. The term for a seat on the committee is two years. Applications are due Feb. 8 and may be found online at the website below.
