Savor Sarasota returns with restaurant prix-fixe, multi-course lunches and dinners, and Michael’s on East has designed a world tour menu with pit stops at every plate.
Travel and taste in one place with this international spread. Indulge in exotic seafood with Greek Shrimp Saganaki or savor Thai Sweet Soy Yellowtail Snapper. Or for a taste of the mainland, dig into the Spice-Grilled Skirt Steak, a true celebration and embodiment of Brazilian cattle country cuisine. These long and hefty strips of steak sizzle under plump heirloom tomatoes, skewered and seasoned with rosemary, while the fried egg strategically placed as a cherry on top embodies the rural roots of Brazilian cooking. Brazilian shallots, sweet and tangy, garnish the steak alongside a parsley relish, transforming each bite into its own gastronomical world of flavor. As a side-bite, crispy yucca awaits, a sweet cassava root native to Brazil that resembles a mild and nutty potato.
Available for a one-course lunch for $16 or a three-course dinner for $32, take a gastronomical globe-trot at a fraction of the price of a plane ticket. Add $8 glasses of wine or $15 pairings. Once Savor Sarasota concludes on June 14, these dishes will remain available at Michael’s on East with the usual pricing: $19.95 for lunch, $38.95 for dinner.
