Transform 2045, a millennial group activated by the Sarasota/Manatee Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and ATLARGE, Inc. to shape the future of transportation in their communities into the year 2045, will meet to discuss “Technology in Transportation” at a free event tonight at Geckos Grill & Pub on Hillview St. in Sarasota. The community activation group of regional influencers under the age of 45 has a shared passion for future development in the region and will gather to discuss, survey and provide feedback on the community's transportation model for tomorrow.

At the Technology Transportation event, participants will discover: what the MPO is doing to prioritize technology in transportation, how to hop an inexpensive ride to work/school, an alternative to Uber and Lyft and how technology improves safety in transportation. Participants are asked to bring their smart phones to download apps at the event.
