In its 50th year as a leader in positive youth development, Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties has celebrated this milestone by changing its name to better reflect its area of impact, launching major initiatives and, now, welcoming four prominent community leaders to its 2020-2021 Corporate Board of Directors.

The new appointees include David Arch, Chairman and CEO of Blistex Inc.; Michael Martella, President of Boar’s Head; Carolyn Mason, former County Commissioner; and Kelly Wade, CEO of Crown Roofing.

“These four dynamic individuals bring decades of professional experience in strategic planning and governance that will help ensure we make an even greater impact on local youth and families as we kick off our next 50 years,” said Bill Sadlo, President/CEO.

Currently, the nonprofit’s board is leading three bold initiatives, including capital projects and enhanced programming and safety efforts in Arcadia, Newtown and North Port. Learn more at bgcsdc.org.
