The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) - Florida West Coast Chapter (FLWC) advances the ever-evolving interior design profession and promotes the value of impactful interior design. This past weekend, the collective joined together for its annual Chapter Weekender event, sponsored by SRQ Media Group for the second year-running.  The anticipated Weekender gathers local members of the Tampa Bay region and includes networking opportunities, fun activities and workshops for Continuing Education Units (CEUs)—including "The Disciplinary Process for Licenses and Unlicensed Architects and Interior Designers. This CEU for ASID members was hosted at The Center for Architecture Sarasota last Friday and was presented by David K. Minacci, certified in Construction Law and prosecuting attorney for the Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design. Minacci spoke to the room on the salient changes in the Florida statute that may affect a registered interior designer's practice moving forward, as well as a breakdown of the newly implemented rules for the disciplinary process.

On Saturday evening, the Weekender culminated with a Gala Dinner at Sarasota's Art Ovation Hotel, where the board recognized winning projects from the past year with awards of distinction.
