Rotary Club of Sarasota Presents a New Cargo Trailer to the Mayors’ Feed the Hungry Program

The Giving Coast

The Rotary Club of Sarasota proudly presents a gift of a trailer to the Mayors’ Feed the Hungry Program at 1:00 pm this Wednesday in front of the Marina Jack restaurant located on the Downtown Sarasota Bay front. As part of their commitment to community service, The Rotary Club of Sarasota supports the Mayors’ efforts to provide food assistance to those in need in our local community. This trailer will help the Mayors’ Feed the Hungry Program by providing a place to store and transport items needed at food drives and fund-raising events. It also can be used to pick up and take food donations to our local food pantries. “The trailer provides us with a valuable resource,” according to Scott Biehler, the Mayors’ Feed the Hungry Executive Director. “Now we will have a central location to store our tables, tent awnings, collection boxes, etc. instead of being spread out in the garages of our volunteers. The beautiful signage on the trailer will be a traveling billboard helping to create public awareness of both the Mayor’s Feed the Hungry Program and the Rotary Club of Sarasota.”
