The end-of-year awards program at SCS will touch history this year. That is because Pieter Kohnstam of the Holocaust Survivors Speakers Bureau will be on hand to present the Anne Frank Humanitarian Award. Mr. Kohnstam lived just two doors down from the Frank family when he was a child in Amsterdam. Anne Frank was his babysitter and playmate. Kohnstam credits his mother for suggesting a diary (for Anne) to Edith, Anne’s mother. Mr. Kohnstam is a Holocaust survivor and author of, "A Chance to Live”, a prize-winning account of his family’s journey to freedom. The SCS High School Awards will be held on Friday, May 19th, 2023 at 8:30am at Sarasota Christian School, 5415 Bahia Vista St., Sarasota, Fl 34232.
