Mark Sultana at DSDG is back on top of the polls in this contest. The master of modern architecture, whose vision can be seen at countless private residences and public structures, won particular acclaim from voters this year for work at the popular One88 Residences at Golden Gate Point. Sultana took back this prize from runner-up Jonathan Parks at Solstice Architects. Meanwhile, Michael Halflants at Halflants + Pichette won second runner-up status and Guy Peterson scored as third runner-up. —JO

Fred Lasky (on Sultana): His lines are clear and clean and the impact of space is both open and providing a sense of security. The open concept that we live in lets our guests interact and communicate freely with no obstruction as we prepare food or entertain before seating and serving. The work triangle in the kitchen is ideal, making prep easy. Gary Christensen (on Sultana): The ultra-modern projects being designed all throughout the Sun Coast brings a new element and we have Mark Sultana to thank. My personal favorite designed by Mark Sultana is One88, a multi-family condominium building on Golden Gate Point. Kevin Byron (on Halflants): Michael and John [Pichette] both have an amazing sensibility to context and create forward-thinking solutions in all their projects.
