Marketing agencies get the word out on all sorts of business done on the Gulf Coast, but Magnify Good specifically focuses on amplifying the message of philanthropic entities. Founder Roxanne Joffe gets this accomplished through the power of connection. “We help nonprofits, foundations and global [non-governmental organizations] move beyond the status quo to a place where they can learn to meaningfully connect with people’s passions and beliefs through communications,” Joffe says. “It’s not about sending messages or writing a press release—it’s about helping these organizations create deep, emotional ties between people and the causes they care about.”

The work recently garnered Magnify Good a Telly award for the Community Foundation of Sarasota County’s “Be The One” video encouraging viewers to become donors. Mass communication technology offers opportunity for nonprofits to not only reach greater masses but also bring individuals into the philanthropic fold. She points toward recent success with the national Campaign for Grade-Level Reading. While successful, the campaign needed help bridging communications between local campaign leaders around the country, and Magnify Good provided a platform for doing so. “The organizations we work with crave new ways to reach donors, beneficiaries and partners,” Joffe says. “We aren’t satisfied with the status quo and neither are they.”
