Organized by the Education Foundation of Sarasota County, CreateSRQ brings talented artists from high schools around the community together for a grand juried exhibition and auction to raise funds for arts education. This year, more than 220 young artists submitted work, with mediums ranging from painting and sculpture to photography and digital art. Showing during a weekend juried exhibition at Ringling College of Art and Design, scholarship awards were given for the top five winning pieces, as well as to the winners of Best in Show, People’s Choice Award and an innovation award. The top 25, as selected by the panel of judges, were then placed at auction for the Education Foundation’s signature fundraiser, The Bash: An Evening of Excellence Anew.
