CareerSource Suncoast Prepares for 2nd Annual State of Talent Conference

SRQ Story Project Partner Spotlight

CareerSource Suncoast has the experience to know that growing your team takes more than just collecting resumes, interviewing and making an offer. The majority of businesses in our region are small- to mid-size and have human resources or recruitment managers who wear many hats day-to-day. This extension of roles makes it even more challenging to build a solid team, especially one that sticks around once you make the initial investment in recruitment and training.

Enter the State of Talent Conference, our region’s only event that brings together human resources and recruitment professionals with business leaders who want to join the community conversation and contribute ideas for strategies to better recruit, train and retain talent on the Suncoast.

In its second year, the State of Talent Conference is expected to grow from 100 to over 200 attendees. Human resources professionals will learn strategies on how to be better talent managers by learning how to recruit, train and retain top-notch talent in our community, and business and community leaders will come together to better understand how to create a culture of talent development through inclusive economic development, career pathways and education.

The State of Talent Conference will be held on May 24 at the Westin Sarasota. To join the conversation and connect with other HR professionals and leaders in Manatee and Sarasota counties, learn more at
