Michael’s Wine Cellar and Michael’s On East offer residents and visitors a variety of culinary experiences and special events to celebrate the start of summer this year. First, embark your taste buds on a journey to the French countryside Saturday, June 9 at 6:30pm, with the debut of the highly anticipated 2014 and 2015 vintages of Bordeaux at Michael’s Bordeaux Wine Tasting. Michael’s Wine Cellar Co-Proprietor Michael Klauber will host and present the arrivals he discovered from his travels along a wine-buying trip throughout Bordeaux, France with the Gulf Coast Connoisseur Club. The event will serve hors d’oeuvres and guests will have the opportunity to taste over 20 different wines. Michael’s Wine Cellar will also continue to host Open House Wine Tasting—a casual walk-about tasting in the retail store each month. And in continuation of its popular series of educational wine classes, “This Way! Three Way Wine Tasting” will present Monday, June 11 at 6:30pm. 

The Gulf Coast Connoisseur Club invites wine and food aficionados alike to join its exclusive loyalty program, which “rewards guests for their good taste.” Michael’s summer offerings such as Double Points Days allow members to earn double points on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays during lunch and dinner at the restaurant, plus double points on all retail purchases at the wine cellar on Thursdays. Wine Lovers Thursdays invite guests to enjoy half-priced bottles of wine in the restaurant while exploring the 350-bottle program. Come on in this season and sip on the finest of international wines, paired with the finest of cuisine.
