Southern Atelier Announces Long Pose Portrait Sessions

Arts & Culture

The Southern Atelier Center of Fine Art has announced the imminent beginning of its latest Portrait/Figure Long Pose Sessions, this September 12. Join Souther Atelier Founder Charles Miano and the Atelier Apprentices working life-size from a model for a total of 10 three-hour sessions over the course of five weeks, learning in the Academic Tradition. In addition to spending quality time on drawing or painting, the Atelier method emphasizes traditional techniques and allows students to grow to a higher degree of draftsmanship rapidly. Artists who have a strong drawing background may progress to working in oil during these long pose project classes.
