Booker Middle Principal Selected for Art Schools Network Board

Sarasota County Schools has announced that Dr. LaShawn Frost, principal of Booker Middle School, has been selected to serve on the board of the Arts Schools Network. Frost is the first principal from the district to serve on a national board of this specialty. A nonprofit association founded in 1981, the Arts Schools Network (ASN) strives to provide leaders in art schools with quality resources, support and networking opportunities. The association comprised art leaders, schools and organizations from around the country. ASN members share experiences and expertise in such areas as planning, facilities, finance and fundraising, admissions and recruitment, teacher training, arts integration, community and parent relations, evaluation, career development and much more. All share a goal of fostering excellence in the creative arts for future generations of artisans.
