Art Center Sarasota Presents Onward and Upward

SRQ DAILY FRIDAY WEEKEND EDITION FRIDAY OCT 16, 2020

Art Center Sarasota’s next all-media, juried exhibition, “Onward and Upward,” will address this polarized election season with politically themed works of art created by artists from around the country. The jurors of this bipartisan exhibit are Michéle Des Verney Redwine, artist, educator, arts advocate, and president and co-founder of the Suncoast Black Arts Collaborative; and Paul Caragiulo, chair of the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce and former Sarasota city and county commissioner. A jurors’ open critique on the Zoom platform is Tuesday, October 27, 6pm; an awards presentation and reception on Zoom is Thursday, Oct. 29, 6pm The exhibit will be available online only, October 29-December 31.
