Pineapple Studios offers everything from Vinyasa, a yoga flow with a higher level of difficulty; Hatha yoga, a more integrated approach involving meditation and breathwork; and specialized cycling classes every day of the week. Claudia Baeza, its owner, saw a need for accessible, all-level cycling and, two years after opening, began offering sessions thoughtfully tailored to her clients. “We look at each individual and shape the class around who shows up,” Baeza says. “We are very in touch with the pulse of what is going on with our clients and the community.” During the pandemic, the studio adapted and took its indoor classes outdoors to the courtyard - a boutique experience allowing patrons to move their bodies and expand their minds while maintaining a safe social distance. And the studio has hosted classes outside ever since. “I’ve had clients say that the studio saved them this year,” Baeza says, “that it was their go-to space for mental health, that it was the one part of their day that they looked forward to, and that it helped them face the reality of challenges outside of the studio.” These classes, which incorporate nature and promote community as well as self-care, are the optimal response to the resurgence in appreciation for health and wellness (particularly mental health). “Yoga and cycling are how we lift each other up and how we feel better in body, mind, and spirit,” Baeza says.

In addition to the studio’s regular offerings, Pineapple also does karma work - or work of the heart. Baeza affirms that “there is a need for a place to find community, spirituality, and wellness, and this has become that place.” The studio offers recovery yoga (for those affected by addictions) twice per week on a donation basis, and is relaunching “Love Your Brain” yoga for traumatic brain injury - both classes reiterate Baeza’s ideal that yoga can positively change the world. “Trust yourself to arrive as you are to a studio that cares and will work with how you are, not expecting any particular level, experience, or background,” she advises. Get your mojo back this summer with Pineapple Yoga + Cycling Studio and try out their newest class: yoga sculpt with light weights. It's only 45 minutes, from 7am to 7:45am.

Classes take place each day of the week and private sessions are available. For more information, call 941-210-3739.
