Fraud Prevention Seminar June 22nd

Fraud accounted for over $13 million in financial loss to Sarasota County residents last year. To combat this, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Economic Crimes and Crime Prevention Units, along with Assistant State Attorney Andrew van Sickle, will present a free, educational seminar to assist citizens in recognizing and avoiding trending scams and frauds. This two-hour presentation will discuss various types of scams as well as how and when to report them to law enforcement. The seminar will be held at Temple Emanu-El, 151 McIntosh Road in Sarasota, on Thursday, June 22 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Seats are limited.
