Babcock Ranch celebrates the grand opening of MidTown Saturday, Oct. 28 with outdoor exploration, nature, new homes and an all-expenses-paid travel adventure grand prize, valued at $10,000. Home Quest: Discover Your New Home, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., showcases the town’s exciting next phase of development immersed in expansive green spaces, nature trails and six inaugural neighborhoods featuring the town’s newest collection of fully furnished model homes. A travel-themed experience, Home Quest is free and open to the public, and includes nature presentations, live entertainment, children’s activities, and food trucks serving international cuisine and beverages in Explorers Park. Guests will also discover single-family homes, twin villas and one-story townhomes illustrating the latest architecture, unique design and homebuying adventures in Southwest Florida, and neighborhoods coming soon to Babcock Ranch, the nation’s fifth fastest-selling community in 2022. Nestled along lakes, wetlands, nature preserves, parks and landscaped areas, MidTown’s neighborhoods are a quick walk to the future live-work-play town center and village green. Future plans for the village will feature an abundance of outdoor recreation, including the Curry Creek linear trail that will eventually span 3.5 miles connecting to six new parks. Meandering trails hugging wetlands and water will offer playgrounds and play fields and event lawns for community gatherings. The first in the series of parks is scheduled for completion in early 2024, with the remaining parks completed by mid-2025. Home Quest highlights the hometown experience at MidTown and Babcock Ranch, America’s first solar-powered town. Minibuses will shuttle guests from parking next to WellWay in Founder’s Square to Explorers Park for guest check in. Visitors will receive a QR code that will serve as their digital passport as they tour an array of model homes throughout Babcock Ranch. Located along Babcock Trail, new enclaves created by national and regional homebuilders Christopher Alan Homes, D.R. Horton, Meritage Homes, Pulte Homes, Toll Brothers and William Ryan Homes appeal to an array of lifestyles and homebuyers, feature the latest amenities and include low-maintenance options and Babcock Ranch’s first community for active adults 55 and over. Accessible during Home Quest by hop-on and hop-off trolleys, decorated model homes in the newly opened MidTown neighborhoods provide a look inside more than 50 available one- and two-story floor plans designed for modern-day living with large main gathering areas and outdoor spaces, two to five bedrooms and 1,430 to 3,440 square feet under air. As guests visit designated models and builderinformation tables, their QR code digital passport will be scanned for added entries for the grand prize drawing.
