Sarasota County Libraries and Historical Resources Post-Hurricane Milton Update

The Giving Coast

We are pleased to announce that two more libraries will reopen starting on Tuesday, October 15. The Frances T. Bourne Jacaranda Library in Venice will resume normal hours, and the Selby Library in Sarasota will reopen with limited services. Please note that there is no connectivity at Selby Library—patron computers and WiFi will not be available inside the library. However, Comcast has set up a satellite location outside, offering free WiFi access. As always, there’s no need to worry about returning library items, as we no longer assess fines. If you have an item on hold, we will extend the pickup time to accomodate the reopening of library locations. Please check your library account regularly to see if your hold is available for pickup at one of our open locations. For any questions, please visit our website for more information.
