There’s a popular misconception that dance is for an elite few: a pursuit of the genetically gifted that demands their undivided attention from childhood and holds no rewards for anyone else. All those stereotypes go out the window at the second annual Thalhe Festival, a three-day celebration of the art form that’s returning to Sarasota this September to prove once and for all who among us deserves to dance. The answer? Just about everybody. The festival will take place from Friday through Sunday, September 11 through 13, at the beautiful and historic Sarasota Opera House.
