DYNAMIC LUNCHEON SYMPOSIA CONVERSATIONS ON REGIONAL TOPICS

SB2 | PHILANTHROPIC AGENDA AND GOOD HERO AWARDS LUNCHEON
MONDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2019  |  11AM REGISTRATION— 11:30-1:15PM PROGRAM
THE HYATT REGENCY, SARASOTA

The SRQ Philanthropic Agenda and Good Hero Awards luncheon and panel discussion will explore the dynamic and ever changing world of non-profits. What's trending, who's innovating, why are donor-advised funds growing so rapidly and what exactly are donors looking for? The luncheon will culminate with the SRQ Gives Good program at which we will feature the Annual Good Hero Philanthropic Awards honoring individuals who have meaningfully impacted our community for good in the past year and for-profit companies who have been incredible philanthropic partners to the community.

Featuring Keynote Speaker Mark Brewer, President and CEO of the Central Florida Foundation. Featured panelists include President and CEO of the Community Foundation of Sarasota Roxie Jerde, the President and CEO of the Gulf Coast Community Foundation Mark Pritchett, Senior Vice President of Collaboration and Impact at the Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation John Annis,  philanthropic catalyst and former executive director of the Dart Family Foundation Ariane Dart and Executive Director of the Selby Foundation Carol Butera.

THE ANNUAL SRQ GOOD HERO PHILANTHROPIC AWARDS PROGRAM

We invite the community to nominate individuals who have made a significant impact to realize the mission of local nonprofit organizations— from volunteers and board members to individual staff members and donors. We will recognize our annual Good Hero Philanthropic Award recipients, who are ambassadors of the incredible giving back spirit in the region, at the SB2: Philanthropic Agenda Luncheon and Good Hero Philanthropic Awards Luncheon. In honor of the late Steve Seidensticker of Tableseide and its group of local restaurants, the Good Hero Corporate Titan Award recognizes a for-profit organization who has made significant and lasting contributionts to the regional philanthropic community.

SB2 LUNCHEON SYMPOSIA

SB2 is a community, philanthropic and business initiative comprised of a series of three annual luncheons devoted to key regional topics in philanthropy and the economy. SB2 focuses on the collaboration between Sarasota and the Bradenton Area and catalyzes relevant and future-focused regional dialogue through a keynote presentation and facilitated panel discussion with regional representatives from both counties and nationally on topics impacting our local economy.

Each luncheon features an in-depth keynote presentation from a notable regional expert in the field who joins the panel to expand on the context of the topic and deliver fresh perspective on how our community fits into the broader picture of the state, region and country. Adding to the engagement-centric atmosphere, SB2 will also feature an awards ceremony during each luncheon celebrating local changemakers, passionate localpreneurs and philanthropic good heros. Topics, opening presentations, panelists and speakers will be confirmed one to two months in advance of the symposium date as relevant community dialogue evolves.

The February luncheon symposium focuses on the regional economy and its prominent drivers in tourism, arts, healthcare and small business. The July Transformation in Philanthropy and December Philanthropic Agenda luncheon symposia focus on the independent sector.
