For students of all ages looking for a life-changing experience or just a fun activity, Venice Theatre will hold an Education Open House on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018 from 10:30am to noon at the theatre. The Education and Outreach Department and teaching team will be on hand to explain the different class offerings, share information about scholarships, and assist families with registration. The new semester begins Jan. 15, 2018. Class offerings are for children, teens and adults, and run six to 12 weeks. For students who are interested, but unable to commit to the whole semester, there is a new spring workshop series for adults. For the youngest students, there are creative play classes. For students in grades three through 12, Venice Theatre offers a wide variety of classes that focus on the rehearsal and performance aspects of theatre to help students ready themselves for the MainStage Class Showcase on March 17, 2018. Some classes have prerequisites. For adult students, the theatre is offering classes for both seasoned performers and those new to the theatre, including Beginning Acting, Beginning Playwriting, Theatre Appreciation and Creative Dramatics for Adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. For those who would like to register early, registration is already open for winter/spring 2018 classes at the website below.
