With the International Montessori Conference coming to the Hyatt Regency in Sarasota on November 8–11, a new documentary exploring this educational philosophy and its implementation across the United States will make its world premiere. The film, Inside Montessori, looks to take viewers inside the experience of visiting five Montessori schools, and experience what it would be like to be inside these learning environments. Through these stories, viewers will learn key Montessori concepts and hear practitioners discuss the critical importance of supporting children in achieving their full potential. The five stories from across the United States highlight programs serving children from birth to twelfth grade in public (charter and district) schools, as well as in an independent school. The International Montessori Conference will also feature keynote speakers Tim Seldin, president of the Montessori foundation and headmaster of Newgate Montessori in Sarasota, and Kathy Leitch, founder and head of Renaissance School in Fort Myers, in addition to more than 50 other presenters.
