London-based OMFIF (Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum), an independent think tank for central banking, economic policy and public investment, recently featured Sarasota-based investment advisor Raul Elizalde, founder and president of the Florida-registered investment advisory firm Path Financial, on its weekly "Financial Instability" podcast series. The OMFIF podcast, titled "Private Debt and the Next Financial Crisis," explores potential triggers for near-term recession and the possibility of another global financial system meltdown as experienced in 2008. Elizalde spoke about private debt—household and corporate—and the implications for both on U.S. and global financial stability.
