BankUnited is sponsoring the Quick Start Series for small business owners in Sarasota, in collaboration with the Florida SBDC at University of South Florida, beginning April 29. The series, which can be taken in its entirety or as individual seminars, will be offered at Gulf Gate Library, located at 7112 Curtiss Avenue in Sarasota, at no cost. 
Series seminars include: Starting Your Business on Monday, April 29; Financing Your Business on Monday, May 6; Marketing Your Business on Monday, May 13; and Building Your Business Plan with Live Plan on Monday, May 20. (Includes a 6-month subscription to the web-based LivePlan software.) All sessions will be from 4:30pm to 7:30pm, and taught by Pat Gordon and Scott Carpenter, business consultants with the Florida SBDC at USF, based in Sarasota and Manatee counties, respectively. There is no charge for the series or individual seminars, but registration is required at the website below.
