Next season's Winter Opera Festival opens with one of Puccini's most beloved operas—Tosca. The story of the jealous diva who battles the lecherous chief of police Baron Scarpia has entranced opera lovers for more than a century. Since its premiere in Rome, January 14, 1900, the role of Floria Tosca has been a favorite of some of the greatest sopranos of all time.
