3rd Annual Gulf Coast Safe Streets Summit Goes Virtual

The Giving Coast

The annual Gulf Coast Safe Streets Summit (GCSSS) is a collaborative effort between the Florida Department of Transportation and six metropolitan planning organizations: Forward Pinellas, Hernando/Citrus MPO, Hillsborough MPO, Pasco MPO, Polk TPO, and the Sarasota/Manatee MPO. In it's third year running, this year's Summit will, like many other large gatherings, be held virtually for the first time. The four days, November 16 – 19, 2020 will consist of various educational seminars and sessions ranging from public involvement techniques to bicycle and pedestrian design best practices. The GCSSS will bring together national speakers, public officials, technical staff, sister counties and community partners to elevate Sarasota/Manatee MPO's efforts on how to design and implement safe and equitable transportation facilities for all modes of transportation. Registration for the event is open until November 9.
