Intercoastal Medical Group is pleased to announce the addition of Endocrinologist Gayatri Sarkar, MD, to its Lakewood Ranch II Endocrinology office. Dr. Sarkar earned her medical degree from the University of Calcutta Medical College, Kolkata, India, and received a Masters of Neuroscience degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, Bronx, NY. From there, Dr. Sarkar completed a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Obesity at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD. Dr. Sarkar has lived on the two coasts and is excited to join the sunny Sarasota community along with her husband and two boys. She enjoys spending time with her family; traveling, hiking, water activities and exploring the different cultural aspects of new places. Dr. Sarkar is accepting new patients.
