Resilient Retreat Receives $2,500 Donation for Music-Based Programs

The Giving Coast

Resilient Retreat, a Sarasota non-profit providing free and confidential support for survivors of abuse, first responders and helping professionals, has received a donation of $2,500 from Music Heals: The David J. Keyes Memorial Foundation to support music based programs. Along with the funds, Resilient Retreat is honored to receive a 12-string guitar from Marilyn Keyes in honor of her late husband, David Keyes. David Keyes was an accomplished musician and recording artist. He avidly pursued his musical passion, practicing endlessly and performing with Bucky & John Pizzarelli, Killer Joe, The Kevin Osbourne Band, Rick Pberson, Early Warning and many others. He toured globally, recording with Annie Haslam and Renaissance. Arts-based programs incorporating music are just one of the many holistic options available to participants of Resilient Retreat.
