Tuesday Dining and Food Edition

"Our most popular juice is our Wake-Up Juice, which is made with watermelon, pineapple and lime."
“I’ve always cared about health and wellness and I was drawn to the idea of fueling my body with real, clean ingredients,” says Emily Collins. “I was experimenting in my own kitchen, creating functional juice blends that made me feel energized and balanced, and what started as a way to improve myself, I wanted to share with others. That’s when Pure Squeeze was created.”
Pure Squeeze Juice & Smoothie Co. is a food truck where people can pick up refreshing treats ranging from fresh, natural cold-pressed juices to smoothies to acai bowls. Collins started out by selling bottled juice from a food tent at farmers markets before upgrading to a food trailer which allowed her to expand her offerings. Now she’s bringing her natural and nutritious plant-based goodies around the community, popping up at a variety of events. She’s also a regular at the Wellen Park Fresh Harvest Farmer’s Market which takes place every Sunday from 9am to 1pm in Downtown Wellen Park.
“Our most popular juice is our Wake-Up Juice, which is made with watermelon, pineapple and lime,” Collins says. “It has a lot of minerals from the watermelon, and it’s hydrating and refreshing. People also like the Orange Kiss, which has orange, carrot, pineapple and ginger. That one has a lot of vitamin C in it and acts like an immunity boost.”
The smoothies at Pure Squeeze are made with real, whole frozen fruit instead of ice, so they’re packed with both nutrients and flavor. The Pink Flamingo contains strawberries, pineapple, mango, orange juice, coconut water, vanilla Greek yogurt and red dragonfruit powder and is a beautiful pink hue that looks picture-perfect on social media. But at the end of the day, Collins cares most about what’s inside her drinks and bowls.
“It’s really been about helping people feel their best,” she says.
