Au Revoir to Adeline

Good Bite

For three years, Adeline has been delighting diners with its wildly inventive cuisine. Sadly, that era will be coming to an end as the restaurant known for its creative culinary pursuits will be closing its doors on October 4th, 2025.

“I think the hurricanes definitely had a big impact on the city,” says chef/owner Drew Adams, referring to the back-to-back storms Helene and Milton that struck in 2024. “Our busy season is usually six months, and for many restaurants that’s where we make a lot of money to carry us through the year. The hurricanes shortened it to two and a half months and that had an effect.”

Even though Adeline will no longer inhabit its current space, there will be a new restaurant there in the future. Adams’ business partner Eddie Zaki will open a new restaurant in the same location along with his partners at 1592, an upscale Mediterranean restaurant. As for Adams, he has received an exciting job offer from a luxury dining establishment in the Sarasota area, so locals will still get to enjoy his flavorful fare. In the meantime, Adeline fans can still get their fill of their favorite dishes through October 4th. The eatery will even continue to run special events like an upcoming dinner on September 11, 2025 with curated food and wine pairings and information presented by a Master Sommelier from ACE Wine and Spirits.
