P4 - NOTES UNSPOKEN

BrandStory

The Sarasota Ballet in Antony Tudor's Lilac Garden

Experience an evocative evening with Notes Unspoken, a triple-bill that bridges the emotional and the expressive in dance. The program opens with a world premiere by acclaimed choreographer Gemma Bond, offering fresh movement that reflects on time, memory, and human connection in Bond’s resonant choreographic voice. Continuing the journey, Antony Tudor’s Lilac Garden returns to the Company’s repertoire in celebration of its 90th anniversary. Set against an Edwardian garden party backdrop, this psychological ballet explores love and restraint as characters navigate desire, duty, and hidden longing. The evening concludes with Ricardo Graziano’s delightful Valsinhas—a series of 25 spirited waltzes performed first by all-female and then all-male casts, bursting with playful energy and musicality. Together, these works invite you to listen with your eyes and feel the rich emotional landscapes that arise between the spoken words.
