"Fashion should be fun, approachable and empowering."

- Danielle MacConel, Owner, Hudson Square Boutique.

[Shopping]  Hudson Square Boutique Hopes to be a Perfect Fit for the Wellen Park Community
Olivia Fanders, olivia.fanders@srqme.com

Hudson Square Boutique celebrated its grand opening just over a week ago after being an online business since 2019. As one of the newest additions to the Wellen Park community, owner Danielle MacConel hopes to bring the boutique’s personalized shopping experience to the area.

When MacConel moved to Florida, she was drawn to the Venice area and Wellen Park, specifically. “Wellen Park immediately stood out because of its energy and sense of community,” MacConel explains, “It’s one of the fastest-growing areas in the region, but despite that growth, it still feels welcoming and connected.”

MacConel wanted to emulate Wellen Park’s welcoming energy when opening the store. Hudson Square Boutique is designed to feel warm and comfortable. “Customers can expect a beautifully curated collection of clothing, accessories, jewelry, handbags, and gifts, along with personalized styling assistance from our team—we’re excited to help them find something they love,” she emphasizes.

“Fashion should be fun, approachable and empowering,” MacConel says, “My goal has always been to create a welcoming space where women can feel confident, comfortable and truly seen.” The boutique offers what MacConel describes as an elevated, casual style, with items to fit any occasion. “Our goal is to offer pieces that work for real life—from everyday essentials to vacation outfits, date nights and special occasions,” MacConel explains.

As Wellen Park expands, MacConel wants to make her boutique more than just a place to buy a new and exciting item of clothing. “We aren’t just opening a store—we’re building relationships,” she said. “We want to be a place where people stop in regularly, attend events, meet friends and feel connected to the community around them.”

Overall, Hudson Square Boutique wants to offer its clients and guests an experience that keeps them returning to the store and the wider Wellen Park area. “Fashion is what brings people through the door, but relationships are what keep them coming back,” MacConel says.

Beatrice and Benedict, rival audiobook narrators with voices made for swooning and tempers made for sparring, are locked in a battle of wits, words, and wildly inconvenient attraction. Asolo Rep proudly presents this world premiere from one of America's most celebrated and funny playwrights.
