SRQ Magazine | April 2017
In a town that feels like permanent vacation, it’s only fitting that the locals have a stake in the hotel bar scene, ya dig? Longhairs and squares agree and the skinney has Ritz-Carlton Sarasota’s Jack Dusty as Local Best Of with a commanding lead and no vacancies at the bar. New arrival Aloft rocketed into the first finalist position, leaving Indigo at second finalist and Hyatt Sarasota and Lido Beach Resort tied at third finalist.
Si McAninch (on The Ritz-Carlton Sarasota): Sitting outside on the patio at sunset makes me realize how fortunate we all are to live in Sarasota. Quiet, peaceful and the epitome of relaxation.
Judith Black Horn (on Aloft): It's unique layout and concept is great for the meetings that I have attended there. I have attended SPAN meetings, Marketing on Main, SFF activities last year and more. The overall presence of the outside venue part is so welcoming. This is the FEEL of SRQ. New concept in our NEW CITY.
Carl Troiano (on Aloft): The atmosphere is airy and contemporary and makes one feel very relaxed and content. The exotic drinks are well made concoctions.
Britney Guertin (on Indigo): The atmosphere is contemporary and chic, but still casual. The food is good, the drinks are delicious and the team is fantastic!
