Property sales in Sarasota County almost reached the 1,000 level for the fifth straight month in July 2014, according to statistics released by the Sarasota Association of Realtors, falling short at 928 closed transactions. The association said only once before has such a five-month hot streak been accomplished—from March through July 2004—falling just short this year and in the 2005.
