Dr. Eric Sundberg, Coastal Orthopedics

The Move And Then

Moved From: I spent the last year in Chicago. Prior to that I was in the Bay Area of northern California for 10 years. My Profession There: Orthopedic spine surgeon. Friday Nights There: We were only in Chicago for one year, so we spent Friday nights exploring all of the amazing restaurants and culture venues. In California, we would frequent our favorite Mexican restaurant on Friday nights.

Why I Moved: My wife and I love warm weather and the water—two things that are easy to come by here. My wife is a general surgeon so we were also looking for a family-based community that could support both an orthopedic spine surgeon and a general surgeon. Now I Am: I just joined Coastal Orthopedics and will be working as their spine surgeon. Friday Nights Now: We have only been here three weeks, so I have spent my Friday nights exploring the area with my wife, Sharla. We are looking forward to discovering our new, favorite 'hole-in-the-wall' restaurant.

First Impressions: Nice people, great food and tons of outdoor activities. I can't ask for more when it comes to a place to live. My Vision: My wife and I are looking to stay here permanently. I look forward to establishing my practice, spending time with my wife and chasing after my English Mastiff Butter.
