Cortez High Withdraws Charter Application

Business

Cortez High School officially withdrew its charter school application on December 29, prior to a final hearing before the Florida Department of Education. The Florida Charter Review Appeal Commission heard the Charter School appeal filed by Cortez High School earlier this month. The District and its counsel argued that the grounds for denial were legally sufficient and were based upon competent evidence as required under Florida statute. The Florida Charter Review Application Commission agreed with the District and recommended denial of the appeal.
