Paving Begins on Old Bradenton Road

As the Old Bradenton Road improvement project nears completion, crews will begin milling and paving the road from University Parkway to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Way today. A flag person will direct traffic, but drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes for the next week.Milling and paving the 1.5 mile stretch of Old Bradenton Road will be done in three consecutive segments from north to south:University Parkway to 47th Street;47th Street to Myrtle Street; and Myrtle Street to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Way. The contractor plans to complete the entire corridor by the end of the week.
